Diagnostics

The experienced veterinarians at Kaua’i North Shore Animal Clinic in Kilauea perform a wide range of surgical procedures in their state-of-the-art surgical suite. Our team is committed to providing safe, high quality surgical care, from pre-anesthesia exam and testing through your pet’s recovery.

Cryosurgery

Kaua’i North Shore Animal Clinic is pleased to offer patients the benefits of cryosurgery when appropriate. In cryosurgery, liquid nitrogen is used to freeze unwanted tissue such as tumors, skin tags, and cysts. Cryosurgery is less invasive than traditional surgery, and recovery time is much shorter. In many cases, no sedation is necessary.

Our on-site diagnostic tools are valuable when diagnosing conditions and screening your pet prior to surgery.

Our on-site diagnostic capabilities include:

  • Full-service lab: We can quickly screen your pet’s bloodwork, and fecal or urine samples for a wide range of conditions and diseases. Additional tests may be run by IDEXX, our reference lab.
  • Digital x-rays: Our digital radiology equipment can help us accurately pinpoint internal and skeletal issues.
  • Ultrasound: Ultrasound is an extremely valuable tool for; locating ingested foreign objects, evaluating tumors and pregnancies, diagnosing serious conditions such as fluid buildup around the heart, and many other applications.
